First steering group

On January 12 we held our first XRehab event aimed at facilitating XR applications within the rehabilitation sector. The steering group consists of a plethora of partners from both healthcare and XR technology industries, along with our dissemination partners.

After an introduction by Steven Puttemans (VLAIO) and the project presentation by Jelle Demanet and myself, we organised a brainstorm to generate ideas on the use of XR for rehabilitation on four research topics:

  • Motor rehabilitation

  • Cognitive & visual rehabilitation

  • Mental health

  • Tele-rehabilitation and multi-user VR

This productive session was followed by a reception and multiple demos from our partners.

We thank everyone for their enthusiasm and input during this evening!
